New Release!!! Bad Boy Blake!

Published October 30, 2012 by Lorraine Nelson - Author

October 5th was my first anniversary as a published author, and today marks the release of my 13th title! That’s right folks, Bad Boy Blake is my lucky number 13.

I want to stop right here and say a heartfelt thank you to all those who have purchased, read, and reviewed my books. Your feedback has encouraged to keep writing. There’s nothing more enjoyable to an author than to hear, “When is the next one releasing?” And I’ve heard this often. 🙂 I love to write, but the writing road is not a smooth or easy one. I’ve learned a lot this past year and I continue to learn in order to bring you believable stories of romance and romantic suspense.

Bad Boy Blake came about because of a conversation I had with a friend of mine. We were discussing pole dancing (something I couldn’t do if my life depended on it!) and that led us to wondering what kind of man would attract her and/or be attracted by her. That was the moment Blake Bennett was born.

Blake had been the town bad boy in his teens, always pushing his limits and his uncle, the Sheriff at the time, to see what he could get away with. In his early twenties he married and settled down, somewhat, not entirely turning over a new leaf, but he had become more respectable. Then tragedy struck…his wife and unborn child died. Blaming himself and thinking that if he had been a better person, they’d still be alive, he vowed to change his ways. And he did.

Blake is a handsome son of a gun. He’s also gentle, caring, and extremely sexy, in or out of uniform. He started an after school program for teens and became involved with the youth of his community. By the time his uncle retired, the townspeople clamored for him to run for Sheriff. He did and he won.

Gina West moves to Westonville to open a dance studio. Smart, pretty, and sexy as can be, she hooks the Sheriff without even trying. But Gina is not who she claims to be and her hidden agenda might just prove to be her downfall.

Here’s the official blurb:

Blake Bennett is the town bad boy turned Sheriff, elected to keep the peace. When Blake first meets Gina, she’s butting heads with the Mayor…over the type of dancing she teaches—pole dancing.

Gina West is a professional dancer, who retired from the stage, and moves to Westonville, NB, to start her own dance studio. But Gina is not who she claims to be, and when strange things start happening…vengeful threats and vandalism…Blake begins digging for the truth. In his role as protector, he begins to fall for Gina, but will her lies and subterfuge destroy any chance for them to be together?

Want more? The following is a never before publicized excerpt:

Her arms came around his neck, and he met her halfway, their lips connecting, teasing, coaxing a response. Passion swelled within him. In moments, his erection pushed against the seam of his jeans. Blake stood, his hands under her bottom, securing her in place as he backed her against the wall. Their lips never parted as he reached down with one hand, unzipped his pants and freed his cock.

He took her then. Entered her silken warmth with one mighty thrust that had her crying out for more. And more he gave, pumping his length up into her time after time, working her until her muscles tightened around him and her juices gushed forth, molten hot. She cried out his name as she climaxed. Hearing it was the impetus needed to spark his own orgasm. Him and her, together. This was meant to be. With one final thrust, he sunk his shaft deep inside, kissing her as he experienced the thrill of making love to her again.

Her legs still wrapped around his waist, he withdrew long enough to carry her through to the bedroom. “This time, we’ll take it slow and easy,” he promised.

“Take me any way you want me, Blake. Just don’t stop.”

A chuckle began deep in his throat. “Lady, I couldn’t stop now even if I wanted to. You rocket me to oblivion and beyond.”

“Then let’s get that rocket fired up again. I’m aiming for the moon this time.”

I hope you’ve  enjoyed this sneak peak. 🙂

  • Lorraine, I love the cover. Can’t wait to read it. I think the hero looks like Colin Farrell. Just my PI. Yum. I’m sure the story is going to be even better than the cover from what I read of the blurb.
