So You Think You Can Write 2014

Published September 22, 2014 by Lorraine Nelson - Author

Yes, I’ve done it again! LOL

I’ve entered this year’s contest with Guarding Flint, aimed at Harlequin Romantic Suspense. Although it’s not finished yet, I am busy increasing my word count daily. And I can tell you, I love this story! Nothing like tooting my own horn, right? 🙂

But I believe that as authors we have to believe in our work and it shows in our writing. Over the past three years I’ve received many, many emails, comments, and compliments from fans and I soak up every last word. I know it’s helped to make my writing stronger and more enjoyable for you…the readers.

My work ranges from sweet romance to a heat level 2 or 3. Most are contemporary western, but two shorts in anthologies are historical…from me, the student who always hated history. 🙂 But when it comes to love and romance, there’s no timeline.

Please take a moment and visit the SYTYCW2014 site and read the first chapter of Guarding Flint. Like, share, and tweet if you would, but please remember to leave a comment. Your time and thoughts are much appreciated.

Here’s the link. Wish me luck. #pdf1

Lorraine Nelson is a multi-published author who lives in rural New Brunswick, on the east coast of Canada. Always a bookworm, she’s read many novels of romance and mystery over the years, finally deciding to put her pen to work at writing one.

“To write romance and romantic suspense is my dream come true, although my mom says I was born with an avid imagination and pencil in hand, crafting stories from an early age. Now my children have grown and have lives of their own, I have time to indulge my passion for writing.”

Lorraine lives alone with an independent yet affectionate tomcat, enjoys spending time with her three sons and six grandchildren. When not at the computer, you can find her spending time with family, gardening, baking and, of course, reading.

Lorraine’s books are listed on her website. You’ll find blurbs, excerpts, reviews, and purchase links there.

She loves to hear from readers. You can keep up with Lorraine’s releases by visiting her at the following locations:
