Blurb:
From international bestselling author London Saint James comes the final installment of Two Hearts, One Soul, a breathtaking story of two people who have always been connected, forever tied together by fate, by destiny, by unbreakable love.

With the media hell-bent on exposing Winter’s once private life, Cayden will do anything to protect her. But there’s more than just the voracious paparazzi conspiring against them.

Involved in an unprecedented web of strange events, and wound in a string of lies about to break with devastating consequences, Winter must battle ghosts from her past that threaten to harm the man she loves.

Faced with a choice she always knew would be inevitable, and a secret of her own, can the fairytale Winter’s been living with Cayden beat the odds of their reality and really come true?

Excerpt:
Thirteen years ago, I died.
While my death hadn’t been physical, it became a never-ending death of the heart. A complete withering of the soul. You see, Austin Carlyle was my everything. My best friend. My lover. The very air I breathed. The sun in my world. My warmth. The beating of my heart. But the night before our wedding, my heart would be ripped from me when Austin’s life ended in a horrific car crash. A crash I ‘survived’ if that’s what you want to call it.
Unable to cope with Austin’s loss, I retreated deep within myself, eventually leaving New York and my broken past behind. I found some semblance of a new life in Colorado, living in the make-believe worlds of the novels I wrote.
Three weeks ago, I returned to the place I knew would hold all the ghosts of my past, though I came back to the Big Apple at the urging of an old acquaintance, Zander Harrison—Austin’s one-time agent and friend. He convinced me to help him with a script to a movie that had been put in a very expensive holding pattern. The leading man hadn’t been happy with the direction of the film and had requested Zander find me. I couldn’t imagine why. I wrote romance novels. I wasn’t a script writer. But something about my books captured Cayden—an A-list actor I’d never seen or heard of before. Of course, I’d soon find out not knowing who the actor was, was ridiculous. I might have been living in my own personal dark ages, but still. He was a megastar. However, the real shocker would be what I faced when memories from the past came back to haunt me.
Weak, bone-cold, sopping-wet, and on the verge of batshit crazy, I stumbled into someone on Valentine’s Day—of all days—who shook me to my very unsteady foundation. What I saw when I looked at him was the face of a destroying angel, because it was like looking back in time at Austin. Oh, there were a few things different, like the color of his hair being nowhere near the pitch black of Austin’s, but so much about the man was baffling. He was the same height—his build an exact match. His voice—eerily close in texture, tone, and inflection. But if that’s not strange enough, he spoke with the same cadence.
Who was he? The Hollywood heartthrob I’d never seen before—Cayden Cain.
After our bizarre ‘introduction’ the need to know more about him ate at me like the slow drip of acid. I had to find some answers, so I searched the internet. Surprised by the results of my search would be an understatement. It was all too much. Too unbelievable. Impossible. Cayden was twenty-three years old, the exact same age Austin was when he was killed, but even stranger, Cayden had been born in the same month, on the same day—May eighteenth—in the same city as Austin, only years later.
But that’s not all. There was a weird coincidence of Cayden being involved in a car accident. One which tragically took the lives of his parents and left him the sole survivor of that accident when he was ten, putting this terrible happening around the same timeframe as the wreck Austin and I were involved in. What was also baffling was the life path Cayden took—acting. It was very close to the path Austin had taken and would have continued to take if he’d been alive. By seventeen, Cayden had been the lead in a small foreign film and moved to Hollywood shortly after, gaining his groundbreaking role at the age of eighteen. The first movie Cayden obtained his superstar recognition for was Longing.
Before Austin’s death, he’d signed a movie deal with Paramount. What was the title of the movie he was to begin filming after our wedding? Longing.
When I first read that, I gaped—completely stunned. Then I read a synopsis of the movie, beyond shocked to see it wasn’t just a coincidence of the title; it was the exact same movie. I had no idea why Paramount shelved their project for so many years. But to find it had finally been completed with Cayden as the leading man, well, what were the odds of such a thing?
Even with all the uncanny coincidences and the almost carbon copy similarities in appearance, what was truly unbelievable? Cayden’s eyes—the same shades of blue from my past. They captured me, looking straight into my soul—the eyes of my love. My life.
Everything changed.
Trust me, I tried to fight against the truth—the pull I hadn’t felt in so very long—but it was no use. I’d come to believe, as crazy as it might seem, some way, somehow, Austin saved me through Cayden. It was as though they were two hearts, one soul. Cayden himself spoke as though he’d always known me. Missed me. Loved me even. I couldn’t explain how it was possible, but he, like Austin, was the missing piece of my heart.
With his touch, Cayden brought me back to life, reawakened dormant feelings, and gave me what had long been missing—Winter Perri. The only problem, I wasn’t sure I could live in Cayden’s superstar, paparazzi infested world.
“Will you stay with me?” he’d asked.
I gave the only answer that made any sense at all.

MANHATTAN MILLIONAIRE’S CINDERELLA – a short contemporary romance by Sun Chara.

Book Trailer http://youtu.be/A0OmfoWNCdo

BLURB:
Will their wedding night be a one-night stand or a merger for keeps?
Global real estate mogul, Cade Sloan should’ve listened to his own advice: trust no one, and never a woman…especially not his 24 hour bride gone AWOL with his millions. Nina, mousy secretary turned sexy vixen, will repay every penny with interest…
When Cade gears up for a takeover, there’s sweet hell to pay. Nina owes her husband a wedding night and he’s hell bent on collecting… his way, his time, his pleasure.

EXCERPT from CHAPTER ONE
Cade Sloan—Manhattan’s hotshot bachelor on the brink of bankruptcy.
Cade read the headline and hurled the newspaper into the trashcan, the
taunting words searing his brain. Prowling to and fro his high-rise office, he paused in stride and zoned in on his secretary, sitting ramrod straight, her fingers flying across the computer keyboard.

“Ms. McLow—” The words dissolved on his tongue, and he scratched his head. What was her name anyway?

“Ms. McLow—” He cleared his throat and tried again. “Ms.—”

“McLowsky.” She lifted a shapely brow and tossed him a glance through her coke-bottle thick lenses, a blush on her cheeks. “Nina McLowsky.”

Did she just click her tongue in disapproval? Just his luck. She came with attitude.

“Of course.” He swiped a finger around his shirt collar, and his chest tightened. “Nina McLowsky.” Scrambling to regroup, he seized the Coffee-mate from the counter and filled a cup with coffee.

She looked like she had walked out of a 1950’s Norman Rockwell painting, an epitome of diplomacy and efficiency. He stroked his throat, and then shook his head, amazed. He was actually flirting with the idea of a merger …with her.
At least with her, there’d be no emotional tantrums. The thought had him breaking out in a sweat. He never let any woman get close enough to
get a glimpse beneath the surface, to know what made him tick. ‘Never trust
a woman’ was his motto.

A cab horn blared amidst the congested traffic on Madison Avenue and ripped through his thoughts. He flinched in annoyance.

He hadn’t felt this bridled since he was a boy, and, he had vowed never to feel like this again. But he was running out of options. He had to score a mega hit or he was going to cave. Fast. And that rankled his pride.

“Here you go.” He plopped the coffee cup on her desk, and a huff of air burst from his mouth, ruffling a wisp at her temple.

She squinted at the steaming brew, then up at him, her baby blues all innocence and perplexity. “Thank you.”

His gut flexed. He frowned and dismissed the unsettling feeling. “Careful, it’s hot.”

She peered at him above her thick lenses, a hint of a smile on her mouth, her fingers never missing a beat. Maybe if he focused on the dimple on her cheek, he could go through with the transaction.

“Take a moment, Ms. McLowsky.” The smell of caffeine gave him a boost, and latching onto his own mug, he shot her his killer smile.

“Sir?”

“Well…uh…” he began, words sticking in his throat. “Drink up.”

“Yes, sir.” She picked up the steaming cup, blew on the liquid and took a sip, fixing her gaze on him over the rim.

Was that a glint of amusement in her eyes?

She blinked and it was gone. “Is that it, sir?” She set the cup on the desk.

“No.” He lifted his mug to his lips, took a gulp of the black brew and scorched his tongue. He swore, a muffled sound. She heard and raised that well-defined eyebrow again. He tautened his abs iron-hard. “There’s a new position in the company.” He stepped closer and hitching up his jean-clad leg, propped his hip on the corner of her desk. “You’re the best match.”

“What is it?”

“A merger of sorts.”

At thirty-three, Cade was not averse to a challenge, it was the coercion
tactic he abhorred. His lifelong nemesis that he booted from the boardroom
tossed him a curve to the tune of three million—problem was—the deal included a stipulation to muzzle…er…marry him off.

Cade was under no illusions his uncle’s offer was iced with ulterior
motives, but in no position to refuse, he had to take the bait. A pittance, but it’d swing him from the red into the black, and buy him some time. He’d expand his global holdings, complete the mega development in Cyprus, triple his profits and—his heart turned to stone—catch the hacker embezzling company funds.
The con was about to demolish Cade into a heap of rubble.

ALL WRAPPED UP IN YOU – A Christmas novella romance by Sun Chara.

BLURB:
The fairytale busted! Their marriage hangs in the balance, but on this wind battered Christmas Eve, a miracle is born…
When Ellie hooked up with world renowned neurosurgeon, Peter Medeci, aka ‘Prince Charming’, she thought her dreams had come true. But the demands of being the model wife to his career triggers a mutiny within her and she decides to ditch the ‘royal’ life until he sees her as more than his bedroom playmate.

EXCERPT from CHAPTER ONE
“Ninety-nine cents.” Ellie stood outside the Burbank Media Mall showcasing a Christmas broach in her gloved hand to shoppers rushing by. She kept a smile plastered on her face, offsetting desperation rising in her throat, and wiggled her foot, adjusting the cardboard patch over the hole in her boot.

It had been three weeks since she ditched Prince Charming and the ‘castle’. Had she made the right decision?

She replaced the broach in the basket, and scooped up the coins on the bottom. Two sales on Christmas Eve, not a good sign.

The Santa Ana winds sliced through her thin coat, numbing her flesh; a gust swayed the Palm trees lining the boulevard. She pulled the pink cap lower over her ears, glad she’d also worn the matching scarf.

“A dollar ninety-nine.” Ellie counted the money in her palm and a
tremor shot through her. What could she buy with the pennies in her hand? She rifled through the pockets of her coat to ensure she hadn’t missed any coins. Nope, she hadn’t.

She leaned against the street lamppost and heaved a breath. Air
frosted her lips. Her heart thudded, and she fisted her fingers, the coins grating in her palm. “I can’t return to the castle…and to him.”

But she had to get home…a laugh bubbled inside her, and she bashed it down before it erupted from her in a hysterical sound that’d have people gaping at her. She dropped the coins in her purse, and with her head slightly bent against the wind; she made her way to the bus stop, but stalled in step when a Porsche pulled up along side of her.

“Get in,” the driver commanded, his voice sending shimmers of awareness through her. “You’ll freeze waiting for the bus.”

“No.”

“Ellie, don’t be obstinate,” he said, a ripple of impatience in his voice. “I’ll give you a lift home.”

An eerie silence ensued in the lull in the wind, and the melody sailed to her from the car radio. ‘Tis the season to be jolly, fa la la la la la la…’ She nearly snorted at the lyrics. Jolly… Huh!

Peter Medeci, M.D. The highly sought after neurosurgeon, the man of her dreams. The man that had given her everything except the one thing she wanted most…and that’s why she skipped out on him. To get close to him again would be self-destructive, but even as she reasoned, her body hummed with yearning.

“I’ll make my own way.” But as soon as the words were out of her mouth, she cringed; she didn’t even have enough for bus fare for the ten-mile ride to her North Hollywood mouse-hole.

“You will not.” She heard the car door open, and paused in step. “Get in before you make a scene.”

New Release!!! Blessed Homecoming

Published July 13, 2012 by Lorraine Nelson - Author

I’m pleased to announce the release of Blessed Homecoming, my first inspirational romantic suspense through Breathless Press. It’s the first release in their new line, Blessings. When I started writing this book, I challenged myself to write something that was wholesome, faith-based, and therefore an entertaining ‘clean’ read, unmarred by cursing, sexual endeavors, drinking, or dancing. Needless to say, I am extremely pleased with the result. This is a book that mothers can share with their daughters and women can share with family and friends without worrying about content.

Join me now as I introduce you to Wendy Danforth and Jake Roberts, both of whom have emotional baggage and need the kind of healing that only comes through love and faith.

Blurb:

The hometown girl and the handyman both carry emotional baggage. Are they destined to remain friends or is there room in their hearts for more?

***

Wendy Danforth is preparing to be a single mom, her ex-husband in jail for spousal abuse.  She returns to her hometown, to renew her faith and to heal. Caught off guard by the handyman in residence, attraction hits, swift and piercing, but she quells her unruly emotions, in no hurry to get involved in another relationship. Besides, at almost nine months pregnant, she wasn’t exactly looking her best.
Jake Roberts, hired to renovate the Danforths’ house, took one look at his employer’s daughter and wanted to run far and fast. He hadn’t possessed an ounce of faith or been around a pregnant woman in three long years, not since his wife and unborn son died in an auto accident.  They become friends, and when her ex-husband escapes custody, he steps up to protect Wendy and her unborn child. Will the danger and close proximity test their friendship? Or will it lead to more? Can Jake regain his lost faith, or will it elude him forever?

Excerpt:

Their evening walk took them down to the creek, where they crossed to the middle of the footbridge and threw breadcrumbs to the procrastinating ducks. Didn’t they realize it was time to head south? Maybe it was a good omen that the weather would stay mild longer this year.

Wendy enjoyed the changing colors of the surrounding foliage brought about by the evening frost. The air was crisp and clear, and she inhaled deeply. There wasn’t even a scent of smog to make her hold her breath, as in the city.

The trek back seemed to take forever. Her back was hurting, and her feet were swollen so badly her shoes became tight, and she began limping. Her parents had walked ahead, leaving only her and Jake on the path. He noticed her struggle to walk, casually took her arm in his, and helped steady her until they got to a bench.

“Here, have a seat.”

He knelt at her feet, undid the laces on her sneakers, and took them off. He massaged her feet to get the circulation going again before replacing the sneakers and retying them more loosely. “Does that feel any better?”

A tingling zip worked its way from his fingertips to the bottom of her belly. It was a good feeling but one she’d have to be wary of, as she didn’t want to be dependent on this—or a man—in any way. The massage had rejuvenated her poor, tired feet. His touch had been gentle but firm as he’d worked his magic. “Much, thank you. I thought of tying them looser, but it’s so difficult to reach my feet these days, I figured it was easier to keep plodding along.”

“Discomfort of any kind can wear a person down. Next time, don’t wait until you’re limping and sore. Ask for help.”

“Next time, I’ll make sure to tie them looser before we head out.”

“Do you want to rest a while longer?”

“Yes, please.” She patted the seat beside her, and he sat, staring off into space, as if he didn’t dare look at her. “Where did you learn to perform a massage like that?”

For a minute, she didn’t think he would answer, but when he did, the words were totally unexpected.

“It was part of our training in medical school.”

“Really? What did you study?”

“I was a doctor.”

“Was?” She had visions of a malpractice suit or something ending his career.

“Yes.”

“Am I being too nosy again?”

“Yes, but I know that won’t stop you, so ask your questions.” He smiled, taking the sting out of his words, and sat back on the bench, slightly turned toward her, his arm running along the back of the seat.

“What made you quit?” she asked softly.

“My world fell apart when I lost Emily and Timothy. She was in her last trimester…as you are…and died en route to the hospital. At first, the doctors thought they could save the baby. They were wrong. He was stillborn.”

“Jake, I’m so sorry.”

He acknowledged her words with a nod, then continued. “I was out of town at a convention when the call came in. Frantic to get a flight out, to get back to my family, I was almost ready to kill to get a seat on the next plane. Luckily, I didn’t have to. They put me on standby, and half an hour later, the flight took off with me on it. But it was too late. They were already gone.”

“I can understand your need to grieve for your family, but why give up what you’d studied so long to do?”

“A doctor takes an oath to preserve life, all life, but the violence that erupted inside me at the airport carried through to my family’s drunken murderer. All I could think of was revenge, an eye for an eye, a life for a life. So I resigned, and when the trial was over, I sold everything, packed up, and moved on. I couldn’t stay, couldn’t cope with the memories and the guilt, even after months of intense therapy.”

“What did you have to feel guilty about?”

“I should’ve been there. I should’ve been the one driving that car. It should’ve been me that died that day.”

“No, Jake. You have to believe that the Lord spared you for a reason. There’s a purpose in life you have yet to fulfill.”

He pulled away from her, and she missed the comfort of his arm behind her. His reaction was swift, his posture tense, and his hands balled into fists. “What kind of God allows an innocent woman and child to die like that while their murderer walks free?”

“Only God can answer that, Jake. But why did the courts allow the man his freedom?”

“I’m not sure. After the first day in court, I attacked him, and the judge banned me from proceedings. They sentenced him to one year in a rehabilitation program. He’s out now, and it’s taken everything I have in me not to hunt him down. That won’t bring Em and Timmy back to me.”

The anger was still there, simmering just below the surface, as evidenced by his words. She’d opened this can of worms with her nosy questions, but how could she make it right?

“Nothing can do that, but you’re the only one who can preserve their memory. Don’t allow it to dim from hatred and bitterness. It’ll destroy you in the end.” The baby gave a mighty kick, reminding Wendy of her presence, and she rubbed her belly. Jake had suffered a great loss, but his grief and healing wouldn’t be complete until he found a measure of peace.

“I don’t have your faith, Wendy. All I can do is try to get by from one day to the next.”

She placed her hand on his knee and spoke softly. “By helping the people you come into contact with.”

“It’s called earning a living.”

“No, I don’t think so,” she said as she searched his eyes for sincerity. “It’s more than that. I think you’ve got money tucked away. You work at carpentry jobs as a way to pass the time until you figure out what direction you want your life to take for the future.”

His expression closed, and he rose to his feet. “I don’t have a future here or anywhere else. It’s time to head back.”

Before she could clamber to her feet, her cell phone rang, and she motioned for Jake to wait as she fished it out of her pocket and answered. “Hello.”

Her query was met with silence. She tried again. A pause. “Hello! Who is this?”

Just as she was about to press the disconnect button in frustration, maniacal laughter erupted from the phone. She froze in terror, and it fell to the ground with a dull thud.

Jake was quick to snatch it back up and place it to his own ear.

“Who is this?” he demanded.

Spotlight on Rosanna Leo!

Published June 26, 2012 by Lorraine Nelson - Author

Today’s author spotlight features the talented Rosanna Leo. Take it away, Rosanna!

Hello fans of romance!

I wrote Up In Flames when I realized that women go absolutely crazy for firemen!  And I’m one of them!  It occurred to me that it might be interesting to pit a hot fire chief against a stubborn beauty who has grown to despise the firefighter uniform, because of how she was once treated by these men in uniform.  It was a lot of fun writing this book and watching the sparks fly between my hero and heroine.  I hope you’ll enjoy it too.  It’s a tale of sizzling desire, betrayal and learning how to trust again.

Blurb:

Juliet Baker is not looking forward to coming home after six months. Yes, the fiery brunette wants to make a go of turning her parents’ farmhouse into a B&B. She’s just not looking forward to seeing the place where they died. To make things worse, she knows she’ll finally have to face her cheating, firefighter ex-boyfriend.

Luckily, her sister has found Jules a boarder. Easy money, right? Not when she realizes the boarder is Captain Shane Gaskill. Not only is Shane a firefighter, he’s the town’s hot new fire captain.

Jules is determined to hate all firefighters. After all, the men of that precious brotherhood protected her cheating ex. Shane, however, proves he’s different from the start. He’s protective and kind, and she can’t stop looking at his smoking, Viking-hot body. She learns, though, that Shane isn’t so willing to love again either. He’s been hurt, too. They both fight the sexual chemistry, and resulting tenderness, between them. But when a stalker begins to target Jules, they realize they can’t fight their desire forever.

As the threats escalate, Shane and Jules are thrown together. The resulting passion overwhelms them. But are they willing to trust each other and surrender to the flames of love?

Sounds good, right? Want more? Here’s an Excerpt:

When he saw the woman, his breath caught in his throat. It was her, the rude but delectable brunette from the gas station. The one, he loathed to admit, he’d been thinking of almost the entire drive over.

“We meet again,” he whispered. “Maybe Ms. Baker has a gorgeous granddaughter?”

Gorgeous didn’t seem to be the right word for her, he decided, as he watched her argue with the firefighter. Her delicate face had blushed rosy pink from anger, and her bright eyes shone with indignation. She was splendid in her fury, from her cropped black hair to the shapely legs extending from her khaki shorts. Her body was tense, but her stiff shoulders could not detract from the soft, swelling bosom below them. The woman’s fists were clenched, so much so he ached to calm and relax her. Her generous lips were pursed into a tight line, but he remembered their sweet fullness when she’d gawked open-mouthed at him at the gas station.

No, her anger did nothing to diminish her many charms. Gorgeous wasn’t quite a strong enough word to describe her. Stunning seemed more appropriate.

“Oh, come on, babe,” the other man replied. “You always took things so seriously.”

“You mean, like our relationship? Yes, I did.”

“I swear, those others meant nothing to me.”

Listening to the other man, the other firefighter, Shane felt his own anger rising. How many others did he have when he had this knockout as a girlfriend?

“Kevin, I can’t do this right now. Please, just go.” Her eyes grew moist.

Her tears were not lost on Shane. He felt his stomach clench, and he was seized by the extraordinary impulse to protect her. She might be a bit odd, careening away from him earlier, but something in her luscious figure and angelic face called to him.

He heard the other man, Kevin, begin to protest. And then, Shane heard his own baritone voice cutting through it. “I believe the lady asked you to leave.”

Shocked, the other two turned to see Shane hurtle over the porch railing to the yard below. He pulled himself to his full height and approached Kevin and the brunette.

“Who the hell are you?” Kevin demanded. “This is a private conversation.”

“The lady asked you to leave.” He nodded at her, and then came to within a foot of Kevin’s face. “Consider it an order from your captain.”

“What?” Kevin blurted, as the woman’s jaw hit the floor.

“You’re the new fire captain?” she asked. And then her eyes dropped to his chest, the one he’d last displayed in its naked, sweaty glory.

Shane inclined his head toward her and smiled. Damn. Up close she was even prettier. At that moment, he would have given anything to get rid of that Kevin.

“Captain Gaskill?” Kevin ventured. A comical flurry of emotions flew across his face, betraying everything from anger at being interrupted to fear for his job.

“And you are?”

“Kevin McGuinness. It seems you’re my new boss,” he said slowly, as if mentally choosing his tactic for dealing with the unwanted newcomer. “You’ve got the wrong idea, though. This lady and I have a relationship…”

“Had a relationship,” she broke in.

“Mr. McGuinness, we’ll talk again when I’m settled at the station.” Shane used his most authoritative tone, the one that brooked no opposition.

Kevin, blue eyes blazing and blushing himself now, stared down his captain. Shane suppressed a chuckle, wondering at his luck at making an enemy in Riverbend, despite having only been there a few days. He could see Kevin wanted to take a swing him, but had enough brains to decide against it.

Instead, the man addressed the woman. “I’ll talk to you soon.”

“Whatever,” she replied. As soon as Kevin pulled away in the Mazda, she stormed toward the house.

Shane called out to her. “Miss, excuse me. Do you know where I can find Ms. Baker?”

“Why, Captain Gaskill, you’ve already found her.” She turned about, hazel eyes flashing and then pounded down the walkway to the house.
