Blurb:
From international bestselling author London Saint James comes the final installment of Two Hearts, One Soul, a breathtaking story of two people who have always been connected, forever tied together by fate, by destiny, by unbreakable love.

With the media hell-bent on exposing Winter’s once private life, Cayden will do anything to protect her. But there’s more than just the voracious paparazzi conspiring against them.

Involved in an unprecedented web of strange events, and wound in a string of lies about to break with devastating consequences, Winter must battle ghosts from her past that threaten to harm the man she loves.

Faced with a choice she always knew would be inevitable, and a secret of her own, can the fairytale Winter’s been living with Cayden beat the odds of their reality and really come true?

Excerpt:
Thirteen years ago, I died.
While my death hadn’t been physical, it became a never-ending death of the heart. A complete withering of the soul. You see, Austin Carlyle was my everything. My best friend. My lover. The very air I breathed. The sun in my world. My warmth. The beating of my heart. But the night before our wedding, my heart would be ripped from me when Austin’s life ended in a horrific car crash. A crash I ‘survived’ if that’s what you want to call it.
Unable to cope with Austin’s loss, I retreated deep within myself, eventually leaving New York and my broken past behind. I found some semblance of a new life in Colorado, living in the make-believe worlds of the novels I wrote.
Three weeks ago, I returned to the place I knew would hold all the ghosts of my past, though I came back to the Big Apple at the urging of an old acquaintance, Zander Harrison—Austin’s one-time agent and friend. He convinced me to help him with a script to a movie that had been put in a very expensive holding pattern. The leading man hadn’t been happy with the direction of the film and had requested Zander find me. I couldn’t imagine why. I wrote romance novels. I wasn’t a script writer. But something about my books captured Cayden—an A-list actor I’d never seen or heard of before. Of course, I’d soon find out not knowing who the actor was, was ridiculous. I might have been living in my own personal dark ages, but still. He was a megastar. However, the real shocker would be what I faced when memories from the past came back to haunt me.
Weak, bone-cold, sopping-wet, and on the verge of batshit crazy, I stumbled into someone on Valentine’s Day—of all days—who shook me to my very unsteady foundation. What I saw when I looked at him was the face of a destroying angel, because it was like looking back in time at Austin. Oh, there were a few things different, like the color of his hair being nowhere near the pitch black of Austin’s, but so much about the man was baffling. He was the same height—his build an exact match. His voice—eerily close in texture, tone, and inflection. But if that’s not strange enough, he spoke with the same cadence.
Who was he? The Hollywood heartthrob I’d never seen before—Cayden Cain.
After our bizarre ‘introduction’ the need to know more about him ate at me like the slow drip of acid. I had to find some answers, so I searched the internet. Surprised by the results of my search would be an understatement. It was all too much. Too unbelievable. Impossible. Cayden was twenty-three years old, the exact same age Austin was when he was killed, but even stranger, Cayden had been born in the same month, on the same day—May eighteenth—in the same city as Austin, only years later.
But that’s not all. There was a weird coincidence of Cayden being involved in a car accident. One which tragically took the lives of his parents and left him the sole survivor of that accident when he was ten, putting this terrible happening around the same timeframe as the wreck Austin and I were involved in. What was also baffling was the life path Cayden took—acting. It was very close to the path Austin had taken and would have continued to take if he’d been alive. By seventeen, Cayden had been the lead in a small foreign film and moved to Hollywood shortly after, gaining his groundbreaking role at the age of eighteen. The first movie Cayden obtained his superstar recognition for was Longing.
Before Austin’s death, he’d signed a movie deal with Paramount. What was the title of the movie he was to begin filming after our wedding? Longing.
When I first read that, I gaped—completely stunned. Then I read a synopsis of the movie, beyond shocked to see it wasn’t just a coincidence of the title; it was the exact same movie. I had no idea why Paramount shelved their project for so many years. But to find it had finally been completed with Cayden as the leading man, well, what were the odds of such a thing?
Even with all the uncanny coincidences and the almost carbon copy similarities in appearance, what was truly unbelievable? Cayden’s eyes—the same shades of blue from my past. They captured me, looking straight into my soul—the eyes of my love. My life.
Everything changed.
Trust me, I tried to fight against the truth—the pull I hadn’t felt in so very long—but it was no use. I’d come to believe, as crazy as it might seem, some way, somehow, Austin saved me through Cayden. It was as though they were two hearts, one soul. Cayden himself spoke as though he’d always known me. Missed me. Loved me even. I couldn’t explain how it was possible, but he, like Austin, was the missing piece of my heart.
With his touch, Cayden brought me back to life, reawakened dormant feelings, and gave me what had long been missing—Winter Perri. The only problem, I wasn’t sure I could live in Cayden’s superstar, paparazzi infested world.
“Will you stay with me?” he’d asked.
I gave the only answer that made any sense at all.

#Free #ebook #Giveaway #Blessed Homecoming

Published October 21, 2015 by Lorraine Nelson - Author

I’m doing it again! Blessed Homecoming_200x300

I received such great feedback on the free downloads of Finding Baby J, that I thought I’d do it again. 🙂 Blessed Homecoming is free from today, October 21st, until the 25th. Feel free to download your copy.

Blessed Homecoming is the first, and so far only, inspirational novel that I have written. Although a lot of my self-published works are clean reads, this is the only book that speaks of faith in God and in one’s self. I truly enjoyed crafting this story of romantic suspense. Previously published with BP, it became a bestseller with several e-retailers and was Book of the Month at a major review site.

Don’t you just love the cover! The couple pictured here are exactly as I imagined them to be.

Blurb:

The hometown girl and the handyman both carry emotional baggage. Are they destined to remain friends or is there room in their hearts for more?
***
Wendy Danforth is preparing to be a single mom, her ex-husband in jail for spousal abuse. She returns to her hometown, to renew her faith and to heal. Caught off guard by the handyman in residence, attraction hits, swift and piercing, but she quells her unruly emotions, in no hurry to get involved in another relationship. Besides, at almost nine months pregnant, she wasn’t exactly looking her best.

Jake Roberts, hired to renovate the Danforths’ house, took one look at his employer’s daughter and wanted to run far and fast. He hadn’t possessed an ounce of faith or been around a pregnant woman in three long years, not since his wife and unborn son died in an auto accident. They become friends, and when her ex-husband escapes custody, he steps up to protect Wendy and her unborn child. Will the danger and close proximity test their friendship? Or will it lead to more? Can Jake regain his lost faith, or will it elude him forever?

Here a taste of what readers are saying about Blessed Homecoming:

5 stars Warmly real characters and a heart-warming plot from one of today’s finest romance authors March 31, 2014 By Michelle Fayard
There are many fine writers in the romance field today, but Lorraine Nelson, with her gift for understanding and portraying people and their ability to not give up on love, leads the pack.

5 Stars Blessed by Blessed Homecoming

Realistic and inspiring characters. Wendy and Jake have pasts that make it difficult for them to trust and love. So glad to have run across this story, and will be reading more by Lorraine Nelson.

5 stars The TBR Pile  – A Must Read. 04/20/2013 Amanda
Wendy and Jake are realistic, likable characters with real problems. The instant attraction was not insta-love, which I appreciated in this story. Rather than “love cures all”, this story seemed a lot more like love encouraged each one to grow and heal.

5 stars Tara Chevrestt, July 13th, 2012
A sweet, clean read that explores love, trust, forgiveness, and the close bonds of family.

5 Stars Stacey Jo Siferd’s
review, Night Owl Reviews, Jul 13, 2012 This is a book that mothers can share with their daughters and women can share with family and friends without worrying about content.

I do hope you download and enjoy Wendy and Jake’s story. And if you have time, I’d appreciate your leaving a review on Amazon. Grab your copy here.

Now, about that question…

Here’s a short excerpt to tease you:

She stood to follow him to the door, but found herself hauled up against his muscular chest as he treated her to another scorching kiss.

“Woman, you’re driving me crazy.”

Pushing away from him she asked, “Me? What did I do?”

“Now that I know what’s hidden under that robe, my hands are itching to peel it off you again.”

“What’s stopping you?” she said as she swiftly untied the sash, shrugged the robe off her shoulders and let it drop to the floor.

Just as fast was his reaction as he picked her straight up in the air and set her down on the counter. He chuckled in response to her shriek as the smooth, icy marble met her bare backside and she arched backward, supporting her weight on her hands. Quick to take advantage, he swooped in to devour her breasts with his hands and mouth.

Her legs wrapped around him of their own volition, urging him closer, closer…and then his cell phone rang.

He ceased ministering to her body and allowed his head to rest in the valley of her newly sensitized orbs. She ran her fingers through his hair, a touch on the long side for a man in his profession, her actions serving to hold him against her.

“I have to go,” he mumbled against her skin.

“I know.”

“We’ll finish this later,” he said, promise inherent in his words.

“Okay.”

He lifted his head and covered her mouth with his, their tongues mating, creating their own magic as they thrust and parried, suckled and withdrew. His hands cupped her buttocks as he lifted her and set her on her feet.

“This is the first time that I allowed anything or anybody to come between me and my job. What kind of spell have you cast over me?” he teased.

“Not a strong enough one, apparently.” Then seeing his confusion, she added, “You’re only human. The job isn’t the sum total of who you are as a man.”

“Maybe not, but I’ve measured myself by it for a long time.”

“Then maybe you were due for a change.” She smoothed his hair back into place with her hands.

“You could be right. We’ll discuss this later. Right now, I have to see how Rob is and if forensics found anything downstairs, then I’ll have them come up here.” His eyes traveled the length of her body as he spoke. “Better get some clothes on or I won’t be the only one who knows your secret.”

“What secret?”

“That you are indeed a true redhead.”

********

So my question for you is…

Which of my novels is this excerpt from?

Don’t forget to leave your email address with your answer

Best of luck!

New Release!!! Nathan, The Hudson Ranch, Book 4

Published July 3, 2014 by Lorraine Nelson - Author

Today marks an eventful release day for me as Nathan is the 4th and final book in The HudsonNathan Ranch series. I’ve laughed, agonized, and cried along with these characters for months and it’s not easy to let go and say no more. As strangers to Peace River, they’ve had to overcome incredible odds to earn their inheritance and their happy-ever-afters. To celebrate, all four books are on sale from today, July 3rd. until Saturday, July 5th.

Have I got your attention? 🙂 Here’s the rundown on sales:

The Inheritance, Book 1, is Free July 3-5.

Benjamin and Gabriel, Books 2 and 3, are set up as Kindle Countdown Deals. 99 cents today, $1.99 on the 4th, and $2.99 on the 5th, returning to their regular retail price of $3.99 when the sale ends. A good time to grab any copies you’re missing. 🙂

Nathan (at 79,000 words) will be released at $3.99 for those 3 days. Regular price being $5.99 after the sale ends. A $2.00 saving!

Now for the blurbs in reverse order):

Nathan:

Nate’s job as an accountant is to get the Ranch’s accounts in order and bring in new business, so he hires his neighbor, Cyndi Dillon, as his assistant. She’s efficient and capable and oh so desirable, but Nate doesn’t believe in mixing business with pleasure.
Her job is everything she’d dreamed of and more, but she’s harboring a secret that could jeopardize their working relationship. The one thing Cyndi hadn’t counted on was falling for the shy accountant. He’s drop-dead gorgeous and looks great in Levis, but wasn’t it just her luck to fall for a pretend cowboy when she’d grown up around the real thing?
Someone doesn’t want the boys to inherit their father’s ranch and will do anything to get what they want. When problems on the spread escalate, will personal safety get in the way of their future or does love really conquer all

GabrielWRibbonGabriel:

He’d been duped! Busy attending the victims of a fire on the Hudson Ranch and cleaning up after his veterinary clinic is vandalized, Gabe Hudson hires an assistant through email, based on qualifications. When Kristin appears, ready to work, he discovers he’s been duped. Thinking he’d hired a male practitioner who could help with their huge patients, he is totally baffled at her willingness to take on such a task. Angry at first, he soon discovers how capable she is, seeming to have an affinity with the animals they tended. It didn’t hurt that her voice was soft and sexy and she was easy on the eyes to boot, but her entire demeanor was of a ‘hands off’ attitude. His growing affection and attraction to the woman were making his days harried and his nights a living hell. Combine that with trying to keep her safe as a psycho targets the clinic, and he’s afraid to let her out of his sight.

Benjamin:

Rodeo cowboy Benjamin Hudson is one of four brothers set to inherit their father’s ranch in northern BenAlberta. The only problem is, the three oldest have been estranged from Zackary Hudson for years. Their father’s will states they have to live on the ranch for one year, show a profit, and care for their baby brother. The main problems…none of them know anything about running a working ranch or caring for an infant. They decide to hire domestic help for the primary care of Jeremiah. Halifax native, Danielle Madison, wants to escape the pain of an abusive marriage and the resultant stillborn child. She sees the ad for a nanny on a ranch in Alberta, applies, and flies west without a second thought. For Dani it’s work only, with no intention of becoming involved until she meets Benjamin, the tough-as-nails ex rodeo rider, who handles his baby brother with great gentleness and compassion. Little Jeremiah pulls at her heartstrings, and she’s drawn to him, despite her resolve to remain aloof. Love is not in Ben’s vocabulary, except as it applies to his lost siblings. When things start disappearing and going wrong, Dani is Ben’s initial suspect. He’s attracted to her, despite her withdrawn persona, and tries to believe in her innocence as they work together to solve the mysterious happenings. Will love win out, or will the lack of trust drive a permanent wedge between them?

The Inheritance

The Inheritance:

This short story is an introduction to the series and I strongly urge you to read it first.

Time is running out for Zackary Hudson.

He has a fierce desire to reunite with his estranged sons, but they’re proving difficult to find. He hires a private investigator and the search begins in earnest.

And for more exciting news…
